Fortress Marine Anchors Announces Exalto Emirates as New U.A.E Distributor
Fortress Marine Anchors, a USA based manufacturer of premium aluminum alloy anchors, has announced the appointment of Exalto Emirates LLC as their new distributor in the United Arab Emirates.
According to Brian Sheehan, 2017 company’s spokesperson, Exalto Emirates LLC has a longstanding background for providing the highest quality of products and services to the U.A.E boating market. “We are very confident that they will do an outstanding job in their offering of our high performance product line of anchors to this emerging area as well.”
Exalto Emirates LLC was founded in 1993. Their main facility is in Sharjah where they have a large modern warehouse, a spacious showroom, and well organized office facilities.
Fortress Marine Anchors began manufacturing aluminum alloy anchors in the late 1980s in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and their business was launched upward after an impressive performance in an extensive pull test that was conducted by the US Navy in 1989.
This purpose of this test was to find suitable anchors with a high holding force / anchor weight ratio for the Navy’s Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vessel.
The Fortress Anchors tested averaged holding force/weight ratios of greater than 200, and in one case a 65lb (30kg) model held 14,600lb (6,623kg) before the test was stopped due to an overheating engine aboard the test boat.
Fortress Marine Anchors manufactures 8 different sizes of anchors for boats up to 150í (46m).
