FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (USA) – The US Coast Guard has chosen Fortress Anchor model FX-37 for their new 45 foot, aluminum hulled patrol boat, which is currently being produced and delivered to  the US Coast Guard bases throughout the USA. This newly designed patrol boat is called the Response Boat-Medium, or RB-M, and it will replace the US Coast Guard’s aging 41 foot utility boat. A total of 180 RB-M patrol boats are planned for production over the next 6-8 years at a cost of approximately $2 million each.

According to 2017 company’s spokesman Brian Sheehan, “The US Coast Guard has been using our product aboard their 41, 47, 87, and 110 foot patrol boats for many years, and we were very pleased to learn that the model FX-37 was chosen to be the anchor aboard the new RB-M. This anchor has been well battle-tested previously by the Coast Guard and by pleasure boaters alike, and we fully expect that the FX-37 will perform superbly on the RB-M as well.”
