Last week Fortress Marine Anchors received the honor of receiving the South Florida Manufacturer’s Association’s Manufacturer of the Year (MOTY) Award for the 0-20 category.

The Manufacturer of the Year Award process is a highly in depth process that follows the criteria for the Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award.

Nominees for the MOTY Award are evaluated across six areas, including Leadership, Strategy, Customer Focus, Measurement, Workforce, and Operations by a team of examiners consisting of business leaders and industry experts. This process includes both an oral interview and an on site visit where participants are measured across these areas.

Fortress Anchors participated in the 2023 award process as well and came in at “Runner Up.”

The South Florida Manufacturer’s Association and their partner organization, Florida Makes, play key roles in advocating for and advising manufacturing businesses throughout the state of Florida. In addition to this award, they provide resources, training, and services to help South Florida manufacturing businesses to excel at what they do.
