FORTRESS STANDARD ROPE & CHAIN KITS

PROFESSIONALLY SPLICED AND READY TO USE

Fortress Standard Rope & Chain Kits combine 250–300 feet of premium white 3-strand domestic nylon rope with 15–30 feet of ACCO galvanized high-test chain, professionally spliced to create a complete, ready-to-use anchor rode. Each rode is manufactured and assembled in the USA.

The 3-strand nylon provides the strength, elasticity, and shock absorption needed for dependable anchoring, while the galvanized high-test chain adds weight, abrasion resistance, and durability at the anchor end. Product Overview

WHY CHOOSE A FORTRESS STANDARD ROPE & CHAIN KIT?

Take the guesswork out of building your anchor rode. Fortress Standard Rope & Chain Kits pair premium white domestic 3-strand nylon rope with USA-made high-test galvanized chain, professionally spliced and ready for use.

MADE & ASSEMBLED IN THE USA

Our standard rodes use USA-made 3-strand nylon rope and USA-made high-test galvanized chain and are professionally spliced and assembled in the USA.

MATCHED TO YOUR FORTRESS OR GUARDIAN ANCHOR

Choose your Fortress or Guardian anchor and we’ll provide the corresponding rope diameter, rope length, chain size, and chain length for that anchor.

BUILT FOR DEPENDABLE ANCHORING

3-strand nylon provides the strength, stretch, and shock absorption needed to help manage the loads created by wind, waves, and vessel movement. High-test galvanized chain adds weight, abrasion resistance, and durability at the anchor end of the rode.

READY TO USE

No need to source rope and chain separately or arrange for a professional splice. Your rode arrives professionally assembled and ready for use aboard your boat.

Each Fortress Standard Rope & Chain Kit includes:

  • Premium white USA-made 3-strand nylon anchor rope
  • USA-made high-test galvanized chain
  • Professional rope-to-chain splice
  • Complete rode matched to your selected Fortress or Guardian anchor
  • Made and assembled in the USA

WHY 3-STRAND NYLON?

3-strand nylon is a proven choice for anchor rodes because of its strength, elasticity, durability, and shock-absorbing characteristics.

Its ability to stretch under load helps absorb the dynamic forces created by wind, waves, and vessel movement, while its traditional construction provides dependable performance and straightforward handling for conventional anchoring systems.

WHY HIGH-TEST GALVANIZED CHAIN?

The chain section of an anchor rode provides weight, abrasion resistance, and durability at the anchor end of the system.

Fortress Standard Rope & Chain Kits use USA-made high-test galvanized chain, providing excellent strength and corrosion resistance for dependable marine use.

STANDARD OR WINDLASS RODE?

Fortress Standard Rope & Chain Kits are designed for traditional anchoring applications where the rode will be handled manually rather than through a windlass.

If your boat uses a windlass, see our Fortress Windlass Rope & Chain Kits, which pair flexible 8-strand nylon with ACCO galvanized high-test windlass chain.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I use this rode with a windlass?
These kits are intended for traditional, manually handled anchoring systems. If you operate your anchor rode through a windlass, we recommend our Fortress Windlass Rope & Chain Kits and verifying the rope and chain sizes required by your windlass manufacturer.

Does the kit include the anchor?
No. The anchor is sold separately. Your anchor selection is used to determine the appropriate rope and chain configuration for your rode.

Is the rope already spliced to the chain?
Yes. Each kit arrives with the nylon rope professionally spliced to the chain, providing a complete anchor rode ready for use.

Why does the rode configuration change with anchor size?
Larger anchors are generally used aboard larger vessels and require correspondingly sized anchoring components. Selecting your Fortress or Guardian anchor allows us to provide the rope and chain combination matched to that anchor.

What is the difference between the Standard and Windlass kits?
Our Standard Kits use 3-strand nylon rope and high-test galvanized chain and are intended primarily for manually handled anchoring systems. Our Windlass Kits use 8-strand nylon and windlass-compatible ACCO high-test chain for customers operating a windlass.

Can Fortress help me select the right system?
Absolutely. If you are unsure about anchor sizing or rode selection, contact us at INFO@FORTRESSANCHORS.COM and our team will be happy to help you select the appropriate setup.
